What are you waiting for? You’re ready to make the change. Feeling better has been on your mind for a long time. January is winding down and that New Years Resolution has started off on the wrong foot. Wait, check that. It’s started out on your butt, because you still may be on the couch. Come on! You can do it! Just do it!
Last week I thought I had it all figured out. My month long stint of taking it easy on workouts and eating enough ‘garbage’ was over, and I was ready to rock n roll at the gym. I found myself busy with work and still unable to get out of bed in the morning, which lead to not wanting to workout after a long day at school. What is wrong with me? Sunday, I finally told myself, “this is your week. clean eating returns, the gym returns, no more bullshit’. Today is Wednesday, and I feel great! Stressful school days this week (cold-ass weather leads to indoor recess) equaled some good quality running on the treadmill every day so far. I love it. Endorphins released during the workout have kept me going when I wanted to quit. It’s tough to get back into it, but I had to Just Do It!
Running a health blog/website, I do like holding myself accountable for my fitness and nutrition related actions. I can’t speak like an expert because I am not one, but I like believing, knowing, that I can accomplish any goal I may have. Mission Abspossible, as mentioned plenty before, is about motivating you to become the best that you want to be, the best you can be. You have to believe in yourself. Baby steps. Do not fall into the trap of trying to lose 10lbs in 10 days, or any other crap that is shown on TV. It’s all garbage – you’ll end up gaining it back because you won’t know how to get yourself in a healthy cycle of diet and exercise. It’s a lifestyle, people. Believe in it. Believe in yourself. Just Do It!
Have a good rest of the week with your workouts and your healthy choices. The weekend is almost here! Enjoy it.
Great post! Nothing like a good healthy diet.
Thanks! Healthy diet is the name of the game!
It’s funny, if I ever do get in a rut and find myself eating junk food, I never feel satisfied; I wake up the next day feeling blah. However after a string of healthy eating day in and day out, I automatically feel refreshed, energized, and overall pretty darn good about things.
Same here, it’s amazing how that makes someone feel.
